Subsidized Assisted Living
Further Support Services for Seniors.
Our partnership with the Island Health Authority and the Independent Living Program of BC Housing allows us to offer 20 subsidized Assisted Living suites for seniors that need a bit more assistance with their daily living experiences.
Subsidized Assisted Living Residents receive personal care services such as medication reminders, bathing and grooming assistance or simple companionship. These services are determined by your case manager and are provided by a contracted care provider. Home Support Workers are on-site to provide aides to daily living for registered residents in the Assisted Living Program.
These services are in addition to the meals, housekeeping, and recreational/social programs provided to all residents.
Please contact Island Health Authority General Inquiries Health Info Line at 250-388-2273, visit the Home Services Unit in your community, or visit the Island Health Authority website at www.viha.ca.
Our family is so thankful for the Legion Manor. I could see mom aging backwards as she was able to engage in more and more activities. The staff are so caring and thoughtful. We are lucky to have such a great option for seniors in our community.
